Drama Teaching:
Adapting selected fairy tales into scripts tailored for children as a specific teaching approach.
I +E
Based on the characteristics of Chinese learners, language acquisition principles, and the linguistic features of English.
Games are an essential part of children's lives, allowing them to mimic adult life and experience various situations.
Our English classes include over 300 teaching games, categorized into word, sentence, phonetic, poetry, and review games. Methods include competitions, guessing outcomes, role-playing, listening reactions, simulations, rhythm, and voice modulation. These games span imitation, practice, and application, catering to children's love for play, movement, curiosity, competition, and praise. As a result, children stay focused, enthusiastic, and mentally active, fully tapping into their learning potential. In these game-based classes, it's common for children to learn 10-20 English sentences or dozens of words in a single session.
Drama
Given the specific teaching target of children, we have adapted selected fairy tales into scripts.
During lessons, children play various roles in the story, learning a segment and then acting it out. By the end of the story, the fairy tale play is ready for performance. This method rapidly improves children's English speaking and communication skills. Compared to teaching with isolated, hypothetical scenarios, this approach is more engaging and natural, resulting in significantly better learning outcomes.
This comprehensive teaching method is tailored to the characteristics of Chinese learners, language acquisition traits, and the specific features of the English language.
Using the EC teaching model, which combines English and computer learning to form a "three-brain" and "three-way cooperation" system, it employs "three preparations" and "eight rapid" layered training techniques. This promotes cognitive development through language learning and enhances both IQ and emotional intelligence (EQ). The coordination of IQ and EQ development is a key goal. The Onli English textbook incorporates fairy tales, allowing students to fully understand various characters, plots, and relationships within specific storylines, thereby learning both English and life lessons.
